2. Choose a Wireless Dog Fence if you want to put it on your garage and you want your dog to learn the right perimeter he is allowed to roam. This is also the right pet containment systems to choose if you don’t want to bury wires.
3. For a more delicate area, choose our electronic dog fences or electronic indoor containment to contain your pet. This is ideal if you need to install containment systems inside your home or in particular rooms.
4. For your backyard or garden, our outdoor pet yards as well as outdoor exercise pens are the pet containment systems we recommend. This is because these pet containment systems are the best kind that can withstand all types of weather plus the force given by your dog.

And for that, our pet containment systems are exactly what you need! Pet containment systems from us are the best pet containment or containment systems that will not only constrain your dog but will also protect your pet from harm.

Now your dog can run, jump and play - free to be a dog - and you can rest easy knowing your family is safe and your beloved pet is secure in his own yard. That is total peace of mind. Dog Watch hidden systems are the most outstanding way to contain and train your most beloved pet. Whatever size and breed of dog you own, it is still important that you keep your pet safe and contained within your given boundaries.
With an underground dog fence, your pet can have the freedom to enjoy the both the front and the back yard. Dogs have a tendency to bark more when stuck in the back yard. Using a dog fence to allow the dog to go to the front yard will satisfy his curiosity, thus making your dog a calmer and happier pet. The front yard offers your dog more space and more activities. He gets to greet the mailman, the UPS driver, the school bus, and you when you arrive home.

You can create off limits areas with an electronic dog fence, such as a pool, landscaped sections of your yard or a garden area. You can use your dog fence to separate your front yard from your back yard. you can then choose which area of your dog fence to allow your dog into. If your pet is inadvertently let out the front door he will be safely contained in your yard.
Have you ever heard about underground fence? This underground fence is another method of containing your dog outside your home with the aid of technology. With this kind of fence, you will have an invisible fence requiring no physical fence at all. All you need to do is to bury the wire around the perimeter of your property. In fact, underground fence won’t ruin the overall appearance of your garden and you can’t even tell that it is there because the principle is to be invisible. The good thing about underground system is that your dog can have a wide boundary and not just a limited foot diameter that a wireless fence system allows.  Underground pet fences  allow you to contain your pet while saving money on the cost of an unsightly traditional fence

The underground fence works by creating a constant signal that is transmitted through the wire boundary. The electronic dog collar, which comes in this system, acts as a receiver. The collar provides a warning sound when your dog approaches the wire. And he will receive a mild static shock if he begins to cross the wire. Giving a shock is not an act of cruelty but a correction to your dog. In addition, the collar can be used alone in training your pet without containing him.

Dakotah Services offers only the best underground fence system's. With our wide range of sophisticated fences, you will find the right system that best suits your budget and pet’s needs. Truly, nothing can beat with this very functional and practical underground fence. It will give you the simplicity of setting up a containment system for your pet.

We also provide indoor and wireless fence system that will surely give you the solution of containing your pet inside and outside your home. With indoor fence system, your pet will know the restricted areas without using wire to create boundary. Containing your dog anywhere you want to go is not a problem anymore with the use of wireless fence system. This kind of system crates a “safe zone” instantly.

How it works:
A small wire is buried in the ground and a radio signal is transmitted from it. The dog wears a receiver on his collar and as he approaches the buried wire, he hears a sound and then feels a mild correction like a static shock. The shock, or correction, is not painful, but strong enough to get the dog's attention and cause him to turn back.

   1. Draw a plan
The first step is to create a plan. If you have a large yard, you may want to consider separating the back and front sections with two sharp bends that go in towards the house.  With this type of layout, the only way the dogs can get from one part of the yard to the other is through the house or garage.

   2. Mark fence location
Temporarily mark the fence location with flags. These will
indicate where the cable is to be buried and then later the
flags will be used to show the dogs where the fence is during
their initial training.  The laying of the cable is done with this
specialized piece of equipment that cuts a slot into the ground
and then lays in the cable all in one operation.

  3. Obstacles
Sometimes If the fence needs to cut through a driveway, pathway or patio, etc. and there is no way to use the existing joints, you will need to get a specialized saw for this purpose. You can rent one at your local rental yard or home improvement center.  Tell the rental people what type of material you will be cutting through and they will help you select the proper equipment and the right saw blade for the job.  Use a sealer and overfill the crack just a little bit so that the caulk comes just over the top

  4. Splices
You should be able to lay most of the underground fence as one continuous piece of wire. However, if you need to make splices, it is not complicated. Take the two ends of the wires and strip off about three quarters of an inch off the jacket. Make a hard connection with a wire nut, which will also help to keep it from getting pulled out of the connector.  The splice unit contains an environmentally friendly synthetic base gel that doesn't harden. Take the connected wires with the wire nut and push it all the way down to the bottom of the splice unit. The nut will displace the gel so it fills up to the top.  Stick the splice unit underground and backfill it with dirt.  Once the underground wire is installed, it should be completely Invisible except for the marker flags.

   5. Install transmitter
The transmitter, which emits the radio signal that travels along
the buried wire, needs to be installed in a protected place near a
power outlet. Bore a small hole into the base of the garage wall
(or wherever you'd like to install the transmitter) and bring the ends
of the wires inside where you will connect them to the transmitter.
Plug the AC adaptor into the outlet and the transmitter.
The two indicator lights on the transmitter unit will show you that
you have power and that the installed loop is continuous.

   6. Training
The final step in making the invisible fence successful, is training the dog.  Place the training collar on the dog.  Gently lead the dog just close enough to the boundary flags that they only hear the tone. Then lead the dog back away from the fence and reward them.
The correction is very mild at first (almost undetectable) and then becomes slightly stronger as the dog moves closer to the boundary. As he begins to feel the correction after the warning tone, most dogs instinctively turn away. They should be immediately rewarded for this. These lessons should be repeated frequently until the dog understands that the fence boundary flags represent a correction, and they will avoid them. The training process will be different with every dog, but with a little patience, most dogs are very successful.

What is a Hidden Pet Fencing system?

There are 3 parts to a Hidden Pet Fencing system:

1. The Transmitter: This plugs into a standard outlet and emits a radio signal. FM signal by Dog Watch, all others are AM only.

2. The Wire: Waterproof wire that you bury and connect to the transmitter that makes a boundary to contain your dog.

3. The Collar Receiver: The receiver is worn on your pets collar. The transmitter emits a radio signal that travels through the wire. The receiver on your dog’s collar picks up the radio signal and alerts the dog as he nears the boundary (buried wire). If your pet continues toward the boundary wire, he/she will receive a correction from the radio signal.

Does the wire have to be buried?

No, the system will operate properly above ground although Dakotah Services recommends that the wire be buried approximately 4 to 6 inches to prevent damage to the wire.

Can I contain more than one dog?

Yes, additional collar receivers can be purchased separately.Dog Watch systems are designed to use an unlimited number of collar receivers.

Do you have a product that will keep my dog off of my couch or away from an area inside my house?

Yes. Dakotah Services/ Dog Watch offers Pet Proofing Barrier models. Simply place the transmitter in the area that you would like the dog to avoid. As the dog approaches the transmitter the dog’s collar receiver picks up a signal and produces a warning tone, if the dog continues toward the transmitter, he will receive a correction. Contact Dakotah Services for further information.

What is the average time needed to train a dog?

The training time varies with each dog and each trainer. It will depend on what you are trying to train the dog to do, the trainers skill, and the type of dog being trained. The dog learns in small stages, his/her understanding is tested at each stage. On an average it takes 10 to 20  minutes twice a day for 2 weeks to train your dog.

Will the correction harm my dog?

NO. The mild correction that your dog feels is designed to be undesirable so your dog will avoid it, yet is totally harmless and humane.

What is the difference between water-resistant and waterproof?

A water-resistant collar receiver can be worn in the rain, snow or other inclement weather. However it would be damaged if it is submerged in water.
A waterproof collar receiver can be worn when bathing or swimming. Being submerged in water will not harm the collar receiver.

How old should my dog be before using an electronic device?

Dakotah Services recommends in most cases that your pet be at least 4 months months old.

Why can't I leave the collar receiver on my dog for more than 12 hours?

Any collar receiver worn for extended periods can cause a condition similar to bedsores, known as Pressure Necrosis. It is highly recommended that the collar be removed during the sleeping/resting times that your pet is a custom too.
